Instead of using pantyhose use white tights for kids. Use 1 for the legs and body and a smaller one for the arms. You can use pvc pipes but instead of fibrofill to stuff wrap with quilt batting to wrap legs and arms. Stuff the body with fibrofil tying off to make neck and stitching the top together for head. Add wig or yarn for hair. Dress as you like and then stitch hands together posing as desired.

Get a 2x4 board and cut it in half- make it about 24 in long. wrap batting around each board about 3 times, cut a pair of nylons bout 7 in down to the color line, knot the ends of the nylons that u just cut off, put boards down in to make the legs and form feet with extra fiber fill that u put in there also, form calf's and knees also.then keep adding fiber fill to make the body and head pull the top of the nylons up to form head and hand stitch the waist band closed that will be the top of the head.take the piece u cut off of nylons and make arms with more fiber fill, hand stitch it to the top of the back of doll and bring arms around front of head and hand stitch the hands to the front of the head (looks like the
doll is covering her face)before u sew the hands to dolls face I dress the doll, You can use size 18-24 months clothing, I use dresses, bib overalls and what ever little kids wear. On top of the head I put a hat (straw for a girl or baseball hat for boy) on backwards , some time in the bib overalls I put a toy or a play
tool in the back pocket , some times I add a purse to the girls or hair to the back of the hat for girls also.
