wood ladder

[img]images/smiley_icons/1zhelp.gif[/img] I received a handmade wooden ladder as a gift. It is stained a medium brown with a few wear spots and is about 6 feet tall. I was told they look nice with towels hung on it. However, I am not sure about doing that. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what to do with this ladder? Any and all will be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to get my DH to make some for next seasons craft sales!!

This sounds like a really cool idea. I think I will decorate a ladder with angels, hang all of my angel throws on it and put a sign at the top "Stairway to Heaven." Now, I have to get to work!!!

They could be used as hanging pot/baskets racks, hang seasonal ornaments on them or primitive ornies, set a display of Raggedies on one in a corner or against a wall.

Why couldnt you hang the ladder on the wall horizontally and you could set picture frames, or other decorations on it. You could get a long strand of the pine bough with pine cones and drape it along the top. You would have to make sure that you had at least two studs behind it for mounting. They wouldn't have to be exactly spaced apart. You could use a number of different hardwares to hang it. I guess I would start with mirror hooks, or talk with your hardware man. Good luck!!!!
