| Well gals, the ole gall bladder has to come out. Dr. called me today with my blood and ultrasound results and said that's what my problem is.
Going to talk with the surgeon tomorrow morning so I'll know more then about what's going on.
If this solves my pain problem I'm all for it.
I wanted to thank you all for all the good advise, web links, etc that you sent me. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 29%, 42 Points needed |

| Hope you get to feeling better soon. My galbladder surgery wasn't that bad to me. I had some female stuff done at the same time too. Keep us updated.

| Not a bad surgery at all. Had mine out last December. Never even had to take a pain pill after I came home.
Good Luck,

| Yup! Piece of cake! Had mine out 2 or 3 years ago............. ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! Had an attack so bad one night (before it was taken out) I thought I was having a heart attack! Thought I was gonna DIE! Never had any problems before that one attack either. Went to emergency, took blood, ultrasound. It was Gall Stones. Never had a problem since...... well, I do have occasional heartburn, but it's from all the chocolate! And from my weight.
My surgery was orthoscopic through 3 little 1/2" to 1" incisions. Simple and quick. Same day surgery.
I'll keep praying for ya! | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to bartkowski mom For This Useful Post: | | | Member Level up: 12%, 103 Points needed |

| I had the same surgery but had to stay an extra day because my potassium and blood pressure was too low. I had never had any pain before the surgery. The doctor had ordered some tests because of other problems and they found that the bile duct was only working at 10%. Doctor said it could have caused cancer if not taken care of so out it came.

| They thought my mom had a bad gall bladder after she ate a whole jar of planters peanuts. You know the big tall glass jars. Nows she's just allerigc to nuts. Which she loves. Only nuts we can have around are the boiled kind. Mom hates those. | | | | | Moderator Points: 10,313, Level: 43 | Level up: 44%, 87 Points needed |

| Well I go in next Wed for my surgery. I will be staying overnight. I met with my Dr. this morning. He's from Russia originally - seems like a nice guy and very knowledable.
Sounds like a simple operation and he said I should be able to go back to work that following MOnday if I feel up to it.
I'll just be glad when this is all over with.
Hugs to everyone..... | | | | | Senior Member Level up: 17%, 159 Points needed |
