| I thought I had acid reflux whenever I had very bad heartburn. Come to find out they were galbladder attacks I was having. I finally went to the er about one day and they thought it was from my galbladder. They scheduled me for an ultrasound later in the week, but I had another galbladder attack the day before. It was so bad, that they kept me when I got to the er. They said it was Pancreatitis, which they thought was from drinking. Only thing I drank was too much Pepsi. The next day they did the ultrasound and found gallstones blocking ducts to pancreas. So they went down my throat to break up the stones. I was in the hospital for another week, until they could remove the gallbladder. Since then I don't drink Pepsi anymore and hardly ever get heartburn anymore.
Be careful and watch what you eat.

| Well it's 9:30 and I've been laying on the couch all night in agony. I've noticed I have little red splotches on different parts of me, have no idea what that is.
Will someone just take me out back and shoot me. | | | | | Moderator Points: 24,322, Level: 68 | Level up: 69%, 578 Points needed |

| I called my dr and I am waiting on him to call me back. I had an awful night. I ended up sleeping on the couch when I could sleep that is.
He had originally said to wait a week or so to see if it goes away but I'm going to tell him I just can't take it that long. I keep missing work over this - it's frustrating and painful. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 34%, 322 Points needed |

| Deb it almost sounds like we are going through the same thing. The pain is unbearable. I spent most of the night sleeping on the couch as well. I had my gall bladder removed years ago but it feels like the same pain if not worse. I just want to scream this morning. I am taking the pills they gave me (Zantac) as well as he has me taking pepto. Neither of them are helping right now. I was told if it isn't better by the end of the week I am to go back in.
I am trying to eat a bland diet but some blend things are setting it off as well I think.
I am finding that using the hot water bottle on my back is helping a little, going to get a heating pad today so it will cover more area. Even wearing my bra bothers me.
I did come across this web site for a list of foods for a bland diet. It has helped me out a bit. http://www.dietsite.com/dt/diets/gas.../blanddiet.asp
Sure hope you are better soon and they get to the problem. Prayers for you.
Smiles n hugs
