| Besides childbirth, the back pain I have experienced for the past 2.5 years was horrid! I think anything that gives you some relief is a wonderful thing! Will for sure be praying for you! mgf~ | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to MyGirlFriday For This Useful Post: | | | Junior Member Level up: 9%, 83 Points needed |

| I didn't think it was painful at all. The biggest problem I had was the "newbie" putting the IV in my hand...she tried twice and still couldn't get it right. I was in tears over that. I though the trial period was uncomfortable. You have the wires and a little box that looks like a telephone jack outside of your skin, taped in place, so you are kind of leaning on it or laying on it when you sleep (if you can sleep on your back). The wires are detachable from the remote so they are not a bother at night or when you don't want to use the unit. I couldn't shower for a week (washups only-yuk) since there was no-one home to help me cover everything with plastic (my husband is an over-the-road truck driver so he is gone alot). I don't have any fears or hesitations about going through with this. I will try to keep you posted and I hope you will let me know how you are doing. Good luck and have no fear!! I will be thinking about you. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to SheilaA For This Useful Post: | | | Moderator Points: 14,409, Level: 52 | Level up: 53%, 491 Points needed |

| I think the IV part is the worst part of any surgery! Just as soon as I get that in my I request drugs!! My drug of choice is Versed. After a dose of that I could careless about what was done to me. After the IV the worse part is the not bathing part afterwards! I'm a huge bather! I have to do that daily~wash my hair the whole 9 yards. When I had my back surgery I couldn't bath for like 5 days and that was difficult for me because I felt yucky. Another way to think of it is once this is over you will feel better!! And that will be the very best part! mgf~ | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to MyGirlFriday For This Useful Post: | | | Junior Member Level up: 9%, 83 Points needed |
