Has anyone had a complete knee replacement?

I was just wondering if anyone has had a complete knee replacement and can tell me anything about it. I know I'll be in the hospital 2-3 days but that's about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

well i have not had a replacement but my dad has first and formost get your self the biggest bag of frozen peas you can find it makes a great ice pac you will have to ice it a couple time a day after about 10 days they will take the staples out (i loved doing that when i worked in the dr's office )
he will give you theophy for a while and that is about all i can remember from dads surgery he had it done in 2000 he just had a stryker knee put in this year and doing great my dad has not been able to walk for the last year and a half but i got to see him walk into walmart one day not to long ago and i cryed it was so great to see him up and getting out and being independnet again but that story is for another thread on how to keep it together when both your parents have there right foot taken off in the same year and at least 5 stays each in hospital all in one year

Leanna, it's on the 23rd of June. The dr's office is suppose to call me on the 20th to let me know what time to be at the hospital. Thank you for your prayers.
