Herinated Disc anyone???

I am off to the Dr. in the morning to see what is going on with my back.

I have been dealing with back pain for almost a year and have had 2 spinal injections and way too much physical therapy...

I had a new MRI done on Wednesday of last week and the weird thing is they let me bring home the films! I doubt I was suppose to look at them but I did!

Then I compared what I say to photos in a medical book I have at the office and I think I might have 2 herinated disc.......not really sure but they sure look like the photos in the book.

Anyway I will know more after my appointment!
I will check back in tomorrow after work!

My Dr. visit went ok I suppose. Besides having an arguement with my hubby before I went to the Dr. (long story) it was a good visit.
I was very emotional the whole appointment but I think the Dr. got the idea that I wasn't sleeping and needed something more effective for the pain and to help with sleep.
Yes I do have a blown disc in my lower back~sometimes when this happens the blown part of the disc goes away from the spinal cord.....unfortunatly for me the blown part is cause pressure on my spinal cord. This is causing the pain that is going down my leg.
The Dr. wants me to see a spine surgeon but there isn't one that is in my network here in my city. There is a great surgeon here in my city but he isn't on my plan. The other options that I have is to go to the Dallas area~I am first going to try to get a Network exception since Dallas is 170 miles from me.
If I'm able to do this I will try to get in as soon as I can.
In the mean time I'm going to get another pain injection to try to hold me over until I am able to take care of the other.

I had two bulging disks that pinched the sciatic nerve going down each leg. In 1999 I had lumbar fusion and I'm fine now. I can bend and touch my toes and the Dr. said I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm now 65 years old. Wish you the best. Judy

I am going to have an epidural injection next Monday.....
right now the pain in my right leg is horrible. I find is so difficult to sleep.
Dr. gives me medication for sleep but that only makes me hyper!!
Kinda hard to sleep when you are wired!!!
