| I had this several months ago, but the medication the Dr. gave me cleared mine right up. I'd definitely see the dr. if this isn't working for you. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 33%, 284 Points needed |

| I used to get bladder infections quite often. The last one I had, the Dr. said that each time you have one, the infection builds up a tolerance for the medication. Maybe have the Dr. try a different medication or stronger one. Also, she said no baths, and to make sure and pee immediately after sex. It sort of helps to "wash" the area. I've heard from other women that their Dr.s have told them that too. So, about 15 minutes before, if possible, drink a glass of water.
Not sure if this will help. This is all I know. | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 23%, 46 Points needed |

| Try drinking Cranberry Juice. It takes a lot, but it works. One time I drank almost the full bottle in one day. The next day it was almost gone. The trick is to drink a glass every day.
Many years ago my "boyfriend" was enjoying another lady's comforts and she had a UTI, therefore I got it! Needless to say, end of relationship! | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 13%, 78 Points needed |

| I heard a doctor on Oprah telling that you can have recurring UTI's from wearing high heels. It causes the bladder to tip forward and not empty out correctly. Has anyone else heard this idea | | | | | Senior Member Points: 14,970, Level: 53 | Level up: 54%, 480 Points needed |

| My daughter started getting infections when she was 6 after a very bad case of chkn pox. She was on antibiotics everyday for a full yr without the UTI clearing up. She then had surgery at 8 to widen and lengthen the ureter tubes, still got the UTI. AT 10, another 9 hrs. of surgery to enlarge her bladder. That helped. She is now 21 and still gets them 3-4 times a yr. Good luck. Get it taken care of because she didn't have any symptoms only a horrible oder and then it would turn into a very painful kidney infec. Hope you feel better soon. | | | | | Member Level up: 11%, 81 Points needed |

| I used to suffer from UTI's quite often. It got to the point that I ended up with a severe kidney infection. Dr. asked me why I waited so long to come in. I had no pain or discomfort. I ended up in the hospital. Not much fun there! Now I take a cranberry pill everyday. I hate the taste of cranberry juice! I haven't had one in years now! Good luck with it! I definately understand the pain and problems with it!

| Drinking Cranberry Juice works for me every time!!!!. If I am out of cranberry juice, I will use grapefruit seed extract, I put 20 drops in a full glass of grapefruit juice and drink it one hour before I go to bed. If you drink it right at bedtime you may get heartburn. Thats no fun! | | | | |
