Default Weightloss programs
Old 01-27-2007, 08:21 PM   #1 (permalink)

There are alot of weightloss plans out there~I am looking for one for me.

I have thought about Weightwatchers....has anyone had any luck with this one???

Another one that was highly recommended was First Place~it is a Bible based weightloss program. Anyone tried this one???

Any others that someone would recommend??

I don't have any luck with any of these programs. Right now I am reading Dr. Phil's book and am going to change my lifestyle. He has some sensible things to say. I am not too far yet, but I have to get going on it. Pretty soon it will be spring and I will look the same.

I will report more as I get farther along in the book.

Thanks for sharing with me on this~I have Dr Phils book as well~

I just need to find something that will work for me.

I'm not really crazy about the WW thing as I feel that it is crazy to pay for someone to encourage you. If you buy the magazines you get alot of the info on their plans.

A lady suggested the First Place one so I'm trying that right now. I really think this has alot of good points~so far.

I am making notecards with the Bible scriptures and such.

Anyone else???

Although some might find me a health nut, as I work out all the time, it starts within and finding a drive or motivation. That's why some people pay others for encouragement. If you're looking for a workout plan, I suggest going to bodybuilding.com. They might have what you're looking for in their articles or workout programs.

Me and hubby are on a weight loss programme at the minute, in 3 weeks he`s lost 3inch from his waist, me, the same. All we`re doing is eating sensibly, fresh prepared food but watching our potion size - thats our main problem. Also snacking, so i just don`t buy them anymore, only more fruit and drinking more water.

Talking

I can only comment on what has worked for me folks. I've struggled all my life with my weight, and finally just got fed up. My weight was interferring with my health(sleep-apnea, asthma) Had a couple of friends who joined Weight Watchers and I went along with them. Now, after some time, they no longer go, and I've lost 60+ lbs. My Dr. tells me that in fact I MAY be able to do without my CPap at some point. Going to Weight Watchers is the best thing I've ever done. The group leader here, and the ladies attending, are tremendously supportive to us all. My hubbie, and daughters have all commented about my increased energy level. If anyone is/was thinking about joining, I would very highly recommend it.

If there were a weight watchers near me I would join in an instant! I would gladly pay someone to encourage and motivate me because lets face it! I am not doing it for myself! And if that's what it takes to help lose the weight, then it's better than drugs or crash plans that have you gain the weight right back as soon as you stop attending.
I know very few people that have NOT had success with WW that have gone in with the right attitude

I would also love to have a few buddies to network with be it just chatting or sharing or preferably "working out" together

Has anyone tried Curves? I have lost 10.50 inches, 11.50 pounds and 7.74 body fat in 6 months. It's not a lot, but I'm going in to this with the attitude of keeping myself in good health and if the pounds come off then Great.!!!! It's a 30 minute workout and I go 4-5 times a week.

They also play little games and have motivational music and are Christian based.
