I got into an Orthopedic tommrow at 10 am. Chad's gonna drive me since I can't with the relaxer i'm on. I hope he can tell me what has ben wrong with it for about 15 years. So tommrow when I get back I will have an update for you very caring ladies.
Oh Randi, I was out all day and am just now reading your posts. I am sorry you are in so much pain, my heart goes out to you. Wish I could be there to take care of you my friend, instead I will just have to pray for you. Please let us know what you find out, but only if you are up to being on the computer. Dont strain yourself. Take is easy and use ice on that back and let Chad do the running for you.
Well I went to the ortho aqnd the news was not good but not bad either. The spaces between my disks and nerves are perfect. My vertabre are aligned like they should be. There's no arthritis.
Bad news is he can't tell me why I have been suffering with back pain since I was 10 or 11. He said he can't see anything wrong with my spine.
The good news is he does not think surgrey will help at all. I told him no surgrey anyways. I don't want someone cutting me open when they can't even tell me what's wrong.
So tommrow I have to call the hospital to set up a 3 day a week therapy program for the next 6 weeks. He wants to see me after that. I'm porlly going to have to deal with this for the rest of my life.
I know exactly how you feel! I've had four surgeries to repair four herniated disks. One cannot be safely reached so I am doomed to spend eternity in constant pain. I also had an electrical nerve stimulator implanted in July. I haven't had much luck with that so far either. I wish you all the best and pray that you have much better results than I have had. I don't wish this kind of pain on anyone's worst enemy.
I'm porlly doomed to go thru this every couple years or so. I was hoping the ortho could tell me what was wrong. But the x rays showed nothing. so all i can do is rehab my back and wait for it to go out again.
Sorry you didn't find out what's wrong with your back Randi. They gave me facet joint blocks in my back and it really helped me. I had to see a dr at a pain clinic to find out what was wrong with mine.

Well Paula, he showed me the x rays and pointed out everything as he explain to me. He showed me the spaces for disks and nerves, how my back aligned. He said I will porlly never know what is wrong with my back.

I am sorry that they were not able to tell you more, but that is how it is much of the time with back pain. I am glad that they did not find anything serious. I will be praying that the therapy helps you.
