I am a biggie compared to you girls that have posted but I am going to really try to get the weight off little by little. I am diabetic and have let myself go big time ..

I am so glad to hear you are trying. It takes time, work and effort but it is worth it in the end. So far, from my heaviest, I have lost 41 lbs. Keep up the good work and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you - You GO!

Well I am an emotional eater and head for the kitchen when stressed out. What I have done lately is try to cut back on carbs.. bread is so hard for me to cut back on.. I use sour dough bread .. I of course use splenda for my sweets.. and trying to stick with veggies and very small portions of meat. I am not really a meat eater .. but I make salads with some chicken or tuna salads etc..
And I am so proud of you for losing 41 lbs.. how long did it take you to lose that weight?

Thank you. I started working out in the gym the end of March. I have been spending almost 2 hours a day "Pumping Iron" and using either the bike or treadmill. I do a protein shake for breakfast when I get home and then boy am I full. I have, for the most part, given up York Peppermint Patties, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Ben & Jerry's, cookies, chips - all the good stuff! Since March, I have lost 23 lbs and 29 inches - the rest of the weight came off before I started working out, just trying to cut back on the "good stuff". However, now I have more muscle and life's little physical things are so much easier.
