Default My Diet Plan it works
Old 07-22-2009, 08:49 PM   #1 (permalink)

I started out about 2 month ago trying to lose the weight I had been putting on. I was up to 170 LBS to heavy for me at my age. I started by trying a diet program. To expensive in one month I spent over 160.00 and not really lost only a couple pounds. So I went to my own diet plan. Here it is.

Breakfast I eat a small bowl of Special K with skim milk and a cup of black coffee.

Around 10 AM I eat a snack. Fat free pudding or yogert and 2 whole graham crackers low fat type.

At noon for lunch I eat my regular meal with in reason no going back for second. No dessert. A full 12 oz glass of water.

Around 2 another snack slim fast bars are great snacks

Evening. I either drink a Slim Fast made with light Soymilk. I know your thinking yuck soymilk but you can't tell it from real milk. I use the Silk light brand vanilla flavor and Slim Fast chocolate powder. This is really very filling. I use a blender to mix it with. You can buy it already mixed in cans too but I prefer the powder.

Then about 8:00 P.M I have another snack of pudding or yogert with the graham crackers again.

I 'm down to 155 LBs. It working for me and hope it will for you too. My goal is back to ay least 145 Lbs. By the way I'm 65 years old.
Almost forgot drink lots of water too and I take multi vitamins too

Congrats. That is wonderful that you've lost the weight by yourself. Be proud, it's very difficult to be so self motivated. Judy

I use to smoke too. This diet is almost like trying to quit. You know you want the fat foods but your not to have them. Like the old commercial use to say about drugs for kids "JUST SAY NO!" That's my moto and if I stick to it it seems to work well.

Don't forget your fruit and veggies. Watch the ingridents in the fat free stuff because sometimes they can be loaded with sugars and other stuff to make them taste better.

You are doing excellent keep up the good work.

I do a morning shake with a banana, 1 c of crushed ice, 1 c of milk, a scoop of slim fast and 1 scoop of whey protein - talk about filling! It has to be blended really good because of the protein powder.

There are many things in this life that we have absolutely no control over, but what we decide to eat and how we decide to exercise is 100% up to us. Tee Hee - much easier said than done.

For the info. I do get plenty of excercise. I am in the process of resotring an old school. It's our community township building. Two story building with two flights of stairs.. I am up and down them quit a bit LOL as it seems I'm always forgetting something and have to run up or down those steps to get it. Plus all the climbing up and down ladders. So I feel I get plenty of excercising.. LOTS of sweating as there is no fans or AC there. My own little private workout gym. I'm still stricking to my diet and still losing. Hope to reach my goal by next fall.. Then the dreaded holiday food.. Hope my will power can stay strong.

Thanks again.....
