Hello Everyone~ I went in to for my check up with my doctor on February 6 of this year. I was told after all my blood work came back that I was a Diabetec and had high blood preasure. I weighed 251 pounds. He put me on meds for all of that and told me I would need to loose some weight. I am 39 years old and have had Scoliosis since I was 12 so the heavy excersise I am not able to do but I could walk. So on that day I started walking 1 mile a day and changed my diet completly for a diabetec ( I love snack food that was my weekness and the more stress I was under the more I would eat ).
I weighed this past Tuesday April 14 and I weighed 227! that is pretty good for me. I have alot of support from my family and my husband and of course alot of prayers.
For so many months pryor to my diagnosis I just didn't feel good at all most of the time and know my enery is back and I am so glad.
Good going, Robin. I am in the same boat as you. Of course there are a lot of us on this huge boat. You seem to be doing everything right, so, keep up the good work.
That is a lot to deal with, but as your weight goes down so will some/all of your medical problems.
Keep up the good work!
I have to make a doctor's appointment and I hope she will be happy to see that I have knocked off some of my poundage. I hope the blood pressure has gone down and that maybe I can lower my meds for my thyroid one more time.
As of today I will have more time to concentrate on myself. I have lost a couple of pounds. Now will be the beginning of the end of one overweight lady. I was going to sell my exercise bike at the garage sale, but, didn't! I do have good intentions.
Congratulations on not selling your bike. Well, for me, right now it is off to the gym for more work. It gets on us a lot easier than it comes off us. 17 lbs now gone since the end of March.
