I'm with you, a soda addict, I know if I quit drinking it and switched to water I would prob lose 2 pounds a week not changing anything else - we are drinking pure sugar :(
What kind of contest are you thinking of? I have one going with my BIL right now. Even though we are on the same walking team we have an inner-group contest to see who can get the most steps each week. That has really motivated me. Especially since I am constantly getting texts and facebook messages from him.
I know what you mean about not updating the journal. I haven't been very good at updating mine either. maybe I should go do that now.
Since Christmas is so close, I was thinking a weight loss contest with some kind of prize. Possibly each one in the contest could donate a little something for the prize. Right now I am just throwing out ideas.
I have been really struggling a lot. There was food everywhere. I thought that when I was stressed I didn't eat, but, now I think it is the opposite. I'll weigh myself tomorrow and find out what the damages are.
I will be starting all over again from the new weight.
Losing 10.5 is a great deal of incentive for me. I hope I will be able to stay on track. Christmas Eve will be the true test with all of the food. Everyone will be coming here for the celebration. Most of the time I am too nerved up to eat alot. I guess telling myself that feeling a little hungry is a good thing. I don't eat to fill up any more. There is always a little room left just in case.
I gained 2 pounds back, but am ready to go at it again. This whole process is so hard. I know I can do it. I wish it wasn't necessary, but it is, so here we go. I am off and running.
It is so hard to stick with it and keep going. I know you can do it. I have kicked 50 lbs to the curb - now to get rid of the last 40. At least I made it past half way.
It is a new year and a new us and I KNOW we can do it.

We just reserved rooms in Florida for the end of March. Now I really have to get moving on the weight loss agenda. I know I can do it. I would love it if my current bathing suit ended up too big. More than happy to get a new one.
I lost the 2 lbs. that I had gained back. Now I feel like I am on track again. While I am working on the craft room I will take time out to get on the treadmill. That way I will get 2 things done.
