So I started out the new year by finding out I only gained 2 pounds last year! That is much better than it could have been.
I am not going to make big goals. I know what weight I want to get to (lose 50 pounds) but if I don't reach it I am not going to beat myself up over it.
I have started to drink more water. Working out when I can. (not very easy with so many kids running around the house!) But chasing after them is considered exercise isn't it?
I am controlling my portion sizes when I eat. I am eating healthier too.
Well I have a work out buddy! I wasn't really looking for one, but my SIL asked me yesterday if I would work out with her during lunch. I'm supposed to be her support system to keep her on track. I really hope this works out!
I only had 1/2 of a 12oz rootbeer yesterday! I usually get the large 32 oz Coke with the lunch special but I resisted! I was also very proud that I resisted the fresh baked peanut butter cookies on the counter at work.
This is going to be a long hard road but one I am glad I am taking.
Good for you staying away from that 32 oz coke! MAN! That must be about 3/4 of a cup of sugar in that much coke! that ONE thing could help you to take off some weight! now add on some exercise (and don't replace that coke with other sugar somewhere else in your day) and you already are doing better!!
You resisted the cookies?!! well done! I am proud of you!!!
Please also comment in other people's journals when you are reading them... that is the only way this is going to work

I haven't made it to the gym yet, but I have been taking walks at work.
Have been eating a lot of fruit, chef salads (love the meat ) and replacing my pepsi with G2. Yeah there's still sugar in it but it also has all the electrolytes and stuff.

Wow! I haven't updated for awhile. I'm not doing too good. My parents bought me a CASE of pepsi the same day Ray brought home a 12 pack of it. I've done good! I had help with the 12 pack and I've only had ONE out of the 24 pack.
It's the week before my little friend is scheduled to visit and I can tell I'm retaining water. My pants aren't fitting too good so I'm scared to step on the scale.
Has anyone tried Alli? I have been seeing all the commercials about it and have gotten an e-mail about it. It's FDA approved and blocks 1/4 (or 1/2?) of the fat you eat from being absorbed into your body. I wonder how much it costs.
Alli is avaliable at Fred Meyers. It's on the shelves with all the other weight loss stuff.... Slim Fast, South Beach Bars, Protein Bars, etc. I've looked at it many times. I think the starter kit thing is like around $50. But I can't remember for sure. I've seen the commercials too. Looks interesting. It freaks me out though when they start talking about "blocking" stuff from being absorbed by your body. Where does it go? Straight out? I just have these horrible visions. Sorry, don't mean to be gross. I also see all the commercials for Nutri-System. That looks real appealing. If Marie Osmond can do it, why not me?? Then I think...... I really don't want to have to fix 2 different meals....... 1 for me and one for the guys. I'm lazy that way. And I just have it in my head that I REALLY want to be able to do this ON MY OWN. Mainly to prove to myself I can. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Or maybe 50 cents now....... inflation now ya know.
