I will be weighing in weekly and I will try to keep my journal up to date. I have the bad habit of smoking and im a DR. Pepper addict, but in the same breath i dont eat fried foods and i dont eat big portions my biggest problem is I dont hardly ever eat, it just soda and cigarettes. And I know thats bad for my weight, and health and im already at more of a risk of having another stroke. Do you like to listen to music? Sometimes it helps to listen to some upbeat music when you're doing housework and exercising.
I have DirecTV and there are a bunch of music channels on it. I mainly listen to them when I'm by myself. When the guys are home, the TV is usually on ESPN.
Anyway, when I'm doing housework or exercising, I'll turn on music I grew up with 70's and 80's or the Classic Rock stuff. It really helps to get me moving! Makes me feel good about myself because it takes me back to my younger days.
If you don't have music channels, just put on the radio on a fav station or even a cd of you fav music.
norene thanks for the words of encouragement....yeah i love music, i think its because i love to sing... ive been hinting for a few years that i want an ipod , well when i first wanted one was when jeremy and i had our home repair business, work seems more enjoyable when you have some rockin tunes right? well christmas eve he comes home from work and i now have a 40 gig ipod this damn thing hold over 10,000 songs....i have some Pink on there,,,,her music is good to get the blood pumping, but some of the things she sings about or the beat to the music i don't know which is which but when im listening to a heavy beat or powerful lyrics i find myself walking like i own the world....i was walking yesterday to my ipod and had a very powerful song on and i had to stop myself and regroup cause i was just dancing along like no one was watching...i turned red but it kinda felt good to have that confidence back, if just for the length of a good song,,,,,so songs are on average 3 minutes long, so if i get 10 jammin songs ill walk really fast, and maybe even bop my head and tap my feet and my workout will be over before i know it. so can housework be benificial?
Congratulations on the IPod! Mine helps keep me sane and actually helps me do house work. I have a special play list on mine. It is strictly for upbeat workout type music.
