Default Slide's weight loss journal
Old 12-31-2008, 12:30 AM   #1 (permalink)

I keep putting off starting my journal until I have the time to write it out properly... and I never seem to find that time, so I will start it off tonight and add to it as I go along!

I got on my leg master for a short time tonight... man! you can feel the burn from that thing right away! I also bought the fixings for salad while we were out shopping. I tried to get on my bike, but the darn thing is not working!!! I am NOT happy about that! while hubby was trying to figure out the bike, I went to put the clothes in the dryer and it seems the washer isn't spinning anymore... unfortunately the washer will get fixed first =0( I am REALLY hoping that the new batteries I put in weren't as new as I thought! I will try new ones tomorrow (need to buy more)

Tomorrow - plan to watch my water (2L at least!)
- 3 sets of 20 reps on the freeweights
- try to get recumbent bike going and do 30 minutes if I do
- wear my pedometer

wish me luck with the bike!

Glad you started your journal and I am sorry to hear about your bike.
Hope that your hubby gets it working. I've been doing laundry most of the day.
I too went and bought salad stuff and fruit today.
30 minutes treading , floor exercises, tomorrow I will figure out my weight workout I don't like just doing one body part like arms
Thanks for the post on my journal I've decided to weigh like every 2 weeks because I don't want to get discouraged by not seeing it quickly melting off ya know.

I had been using the bike at least 5 times a week from Dec 07 - Oct 08... then I got sick and haven't been back on it until tonight... I am praying that it is just the batteries, because I KNOW if it isn't, it will become a dust collector.

OK! I am officially back on track! WooHoo! at least as far as the exercise goes! I worked off 409 calories on the bike today, plus my free weights and my leg master! So I will keep at this, and will start to be more conscientious about what I am eating. Today I made sure that I ate more fruit and veg, and I made sure that I drank my water... however, I did have a couple of cookies and dessert after dinner... and a chocolate... One thing a a time though - for me, I have to get that exercise in place - then I remind myself how much work it takes to take off the calories BEFORE I eat them! Tomorrow I will remind myself that cookie = 10 minutes on the bike!

I know what you mean about getting on track lol I guess the first step is feeling that burning.
I am trying to be more focused on exercise too.

Today is the 7th of January and so far I have "worked out" every day. I am up to 41 KM on the exercise bike, and have been doing my free weights every day as well. The Leg master is another story... I don't really care for it at all, so I have to force myself to use it... I have used it a few times, but not as often as I should be.

I went for a bit of a walk yesterday with my DD to take her sliding at the far end of our field (there and back is aprrox 3/4 km) I also have been bringing in firewood again. I am hoping to break out the X-country skiis ... but I am not sure if the ski boots will still fit me. (My foot got wider when I was pregnant...)

My eating HAS improved, there is still LOTS of room for more improvement. But I am no longer walking by the cookie jar and grabbing one LOL!

My weight is not quite at my December 1st weight... but it seems that I may have taken off a pound or two
