Today I am beginning my journey back to myself I'm getting rid of the extra me hanging on..that old sludgy fattie stuff I despise.
I'll try to update this or check in at least every Tuesday but if I know me its more like everyday or so to move along and keep up my spirits and hopefully encourage some people here as well.
I am 5'7" tall
I'm weighing in at 217.6
Right now I'm in the corner honey but I am coming out fighting
Today more water, simple stretching exercises, tread ...

Perfect!! Great journal post to start us off! And a great way to start off what you are doing TODAY to get a good start to weight loss!

I read somewhere to have an 8oz glass of water before a meal to help you to eat less before you feel satisfied!

I am usually off on Mondays but had to fill for someone else today. I guess two out of three isn't to shabby is it???

I drank 5 bottles of water and I did stretch exercises and some sit ups, side and back kicks.

The treadmill is still laughing at me..didn't touch it yet. It's in my kitchen so it laughs everytime I walk past it to the cabinet or the fridge.

Maybe in the morning right after stretches....I'm hopeful...

I am not to much into what I eat I had a banana, chicken, greenbeans, rice, some slice beef tonight and a glass of tea..though I'd like to cut the tea out but I probably won't completely. Oh and a piece of wheat bread.

You see most people think I should be highly motivated as my son bought 2 round trip tickets to the Phillipines for us to visit his fiances family. We leave in March and stay 2 weeks its tropical and humid and hot. I've never been out of the USA so it is going to be a somewhat scarey trip for me but fun as well I am sure. People tell me that should be enough to get me to lose fast for it so I can wear shorts etc.... For some unknown reason I can't really get into it. I've known for 9 months and haven't lost any real amount of weight yet.

First of all I had problems breathing and have just now found out it is because I have ...nasal pylops...I didn't even know they existed!! I have to have a cat scan and surgery to remove them. But for now I am on steroid nasal spray and have to do a rinse everyday. At least I can breath and now I feel like I can do some exercise so I hope to really get into this and get on that crazy tread laughing hysterically at me!!

Did I ever EAT!
Well, one day at a time...and it was Christmas.
I made fudge of all things and also was showing someone how to make pie crust and apple pie from scratch and wouldn't you know ...that was the best apple pie ever! Got it off the internet for the Irish Apple Pie oh my goodness.
Then a internet buddy challenged me to make the Everything in the mix cake...I did. Of course you must taste everything oh my goodness. I am going to get back on track now and keep in mind this journal and that was just the biggest holiday of the year. Now its gone either eatten or given away as gifts.
Now its time to really try to lose some weight. I tried on my capris that I bought a while back and could not wear thinking no way have I lost any weight ..people were telling me I had..well they fit better but not perfectly. So I must have lost a little don't know where or how ?~
I don't know how often I will be able to check in here but when I think of this place I will post some news.
I have many things going on in every direction in my life..so I will make an effort but that is all I can promise.

HI txrose60....and all members of our weight loss for "2009" Well; IAM A MESS .......Your not the only eater around here I really am not a big eater ...its that I eat at wrong times, to much (cause iam hungry}and didn't eat breakfast ...along with not enough {OK NONE LATLEY} ExerciseBUT BOTTOM LINE IF I could find itLine that is.......Ok I got my exercise ticker on here and its ready to go and team work I do hope we have hereI need some feed back once in awhile PLEASE....... I Have been working on getting this weight off for to long this time its going ~ going.... I need my health back !! Iam cutting portion control ~more raw veggies~more water ....no sweets (only treat once a month after I lose {By ValentineDay} ... 20pounds( like weight watchers desserts:) Iam not going to starve myself but work on more small meals then one all day iam not a junk eater nor a fast food eater I just dont eat right ........I do have a very bad back and also dealing with a heel spur?? But This weight is not helping either hurt are not if I have to work out on my treadmill slower in stocken feet I WILL! my goal is 10,000 steps aday 7days aweek :) 1 hr aday does it.....yes I use to over a year ago ..but ; had to come out of retirement to take a job and even though I climb steps to get to and from job where I live above my work Last year~235 ~245.....I have gained 10 pounds sence last year NOT A HAPPY CAMPER HERE..... My age is catching up too....... Ok enough of my first post Journal come JAN 1, 09 I'am In for.... The long hall with or with out my CC buddies...... I DON'T WANT TO DIE...OR DO THIS ALONE So please lets all give this a good try ..... I will later post some pics before... and then after and hope we all are BLESSED FOR THE NEW YEAR!! till then OK I think I have a Before Pic here??

ok, Im jumping in on this bandwagon...I am only 4' 11" tall, and I weigh...154...all my life til I turned 50, I weighed 102 or so. I wore a size 5/6 forever. Then slowly, it started creeping up on me...I went into an 8P. Then a 10..now a 12..ok, time to knock it off...Christmas is over and no more pig outs. Ive been eating many more sweets and soda since Michael got ill. I guess Im trying to fill myself up but it doesn't work anyway..all I feel is full and heavy.

So, tomorrow, more water, no soda for starts and no sweets! I have a walking machine also, in the spare room, and I never have to look at it. But, I should get on it...no, I WILL get on it tomorrow...

Good to see two more here jumping into the program.

I've done my floor exercises and a little weight lifting right now just for the "bye,bye flabby" you all know what I'm talking about LOL I'll try to use weights a little more later but for now that is it.

I talked with my manager of the little salon Saturday over at a restuarant (she wanted to avoid going home) We are going to start walking around our little strip mall every Sat. night after we get off work INSTEAD of going somewhere to EAT and chat we're going to walk and chat. (that's progress)

I also got over my dread of the tread! I am walking at least 30mins daily starting last Sat.

Oh also the manager and I are going to bring lunch to work..taking turns making a low cal lunch like say when we are working together next Friday she is bringing Tuna Salad I am bringing wheat bread and she likes pickled okra so do I so I am bringing that and some fruit. We both like yougart so we are putting that in the fridge too...for a pick me up instead of a energy draining cookie from the deli!

My goal is to lose at least 10 hopefully more by March 1st when we leave for our trip to the Philippines.
So we decided to set both of our goals for this time period then resume after my return.
My thought was...I get a reward of going to a tropical island..what was her's???????
She only wants me to bring her something "FUN" from the Phil's. That's do-able!

I'm looking for a before photo...mine wont be as good as sweetpeez....but well...I'm me and she is she.....talk with you later and keep up the good work ~

I hope that you will also start you a thread for the weightloss challenge....documenting your progress in it and journaling there.
I will encourage you too by posting on your thread and Slide (mod and starter of this weightloss thing ) says it will bump it to the top of the list so we keep track of each other and help out.
Ok? You don't have to wait till a certain date.
