Default What are your August goals?

My goals I have set for myself this month are.....

WATER - Drink more water!

Walking - today is my first day of my second round of the Walking for Life club here. So our club goal is to walk for at least an hour a day. That's not including the steps we normally walk for work, around the house etc...

Junk Food - with food prices going up we have already cut back on our junk food consumption. I am hoping to take this a step further and stop eating out as often as we do. (We have actually started doing this about two weeks ago and it has saved us $$)

Chocolate isn't considered junk food is it?

I am going for 150 KM on my bike this month EVEN IN THE HEAT! LOL!
We are eating healthier just because the garden is in! Makes it much easier!

My August Goals are to make it to the end of the month...

Actually getting 6 dolls made I have orders for...

Walking more when I can...

Getting the new siding on the house and all the new windows in...

Getting cards ready for the card swap I am hosting...

My goals this month

Get the back to school shopping done before the first day of school lol
Get more soap made for fall shows
Place a big order for supplies
Do more work outs on the Wii
Watch my food intake
Loss at least 5-10 pounds
Try to take at least a day trip with the girls some where
I would like to do more but I just got my work schedule for the next two weeks and it is a killer. I am working four days a week instead of my one or two.

My August Goals.....survive all my company!
* Grandson (10 yrs old) visiting Aug. 2nd to Aug 20th (This is his first extended stay away from his mother because he is a Type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump and trusting anyone to look after him for more than a day has been very hard for her.)
* Daughter, boyfriend, two dogs and other grandson visiting Aug. 9th to Aug. 20th
* Mother (80yrs) flying from West Coast to visit from Aug. 15th to Sept. 30th
* SIL visiting Aug. 17th to 19th
*Trip to Bangor Sept 2nd to take Mother to airport for 2 week stay in Florida
* Planned trip to Ottawa with hubby Sept 4th to 11th
* BIL visiting Sept 15th to 22nd
* Trip to Bangor Sept 22nd to pick up Mother from Florida trip
I figure if I make it through all of that, I will be doing good! As for weight loss, I already drink about 8 glasses of water a day and watch my junk food intake (you notice I didn't say "eliminated" ) but exercise will depend largely on the crowd. The weather here has been crappy so not a lot of outdoor activites getting done. Yard work has been restricted to mow fast between rain showers and forget the weeding...too muddy. Lots of berries this year though so DGS and I have been busy picking raspberries and blueberries.

Crafts:It's fair month here, so my first goal is to get as much into the fair as possible.

Weight: I'm trying a low carb diet. It's basically a diabetic routine, but I'm still using real sugar in my coffee (I just include it in my carbs) I've been stuck for 2 months, I'd welcome any loss.

Exercise: I want to run another 5K in September. I did one in April and it took me 55 minutes, so I'd like to do better.

Home: continue to clean out the corners. This will be easier with DS#1 moving to Spokane Sept 6th. One less person to clean around.

Of course chocolates not junk food! Studies show it's heart healthy.

Dark Chocolate for the antioxidants and Milk Chocolate for the calcium.

Goals:

Drink more water

Eat healthy breakfast EVERYDAY

Eat healthy lunch

Stick to one helping at supper

Walk on Treadmill at least 1/2 an hour daily.

August goals:

get a good start on weeding all of the flower beds and put down the mulch
organize the craft room
Polyurethane the hardwood floors
roll out the treadmill and get it started (maybe I'll even step on it)
start keeping the journal
watch the food intake
LOSE POUNDS AND INCHES

I know I can do it!!!!

My Goals are:

Eat better, is a must since doc wants me to drop 30lbs.

Excercise more, I mostly walk but thinking about adding weights.

After Bobby goes to school, get things around to finish his scrapbook of his da. It is still hard on him.

draw up my remodel bathroom plans.
