| i just clicked on the post and put my 2 cents in. Good luck on the weight loss. I went to Tops for a year, but I am stuck. If I starve myself I can lose a pound or two for a couple weeks, but then it comes right back. But thankfully, I'm not losing 2 and gaining 10. Quote:

| Created2 (and anyone else trying starvation), Starving yourself will actually make your body go into panick mode and hang on to the fat to survive. You need to determine the right amout of calories you need for your your body and stick to it. There are lots of websites out there that will help with that. My favorite is prevention.com.
Randi, take your measurements. I did calf; thigh;hip;waist; and forarm. You may not see a week to week change, but you will see change. You just need to remember that 1/8 inch is a big deal. So be as exact as you can be.

| Randi may I suggest that if you are wanting to lose weight, you could either buy a scale or go to your doctor once a month to have yourself weighed?

| I agree you can buy a scale (i bought mine for 35, and it remembers my weight and hubby's weight). Or you can go to your doctors, but not once a month, go every week. The nurses will usually take your weight without charge. And another tip - keep a journal of whatever you eat. It really sneaks up on you. If you try to remember everything at the end of the day, you would remember what you ate for breakfast and lunch and dinner most likely, but you might not remember you stopped at the store to buy something and was offered a taste of something. True a taste doesn't matter, but if you don't remember that, what else do you forget you put into your mouth? - Wanda Quote:

| I agree that once a week would be better to be weighed - however, I wasn't sure if there would be a charge for having this done. I know my doctor's office wouldn't charge, however, I would end up paying $20 in gas to get there and back | | | | |
