Default July weigh in
Old 07-15-2008, 09:57 AM   #1 (permalink)

I don't know if anyone's still doing the once a month weigh in, but I thought I'd check in.
I missed June, the 15th fell on Father's Day and I just forgot.

I haven't lost anything since May. When the dietician gets back from her vacation I'm going to ask for a nutritional consult.
In the mean time, I'm uping my water intake. And I took my meassurements to see if thats changing.

I may have to push the exercise harder. Oh goody.
But I'm hanging in there.
My original goal was 5 pounds a month, and if I average what I've lost so far that's where I'm at.
I admit it's discouraging, but I've just got to figure this out and I'll get there.

Hey Laura! I think you are doing fabulous! If you really want to know how well you are doing, just pack around a couple of 15 pound weights for a day! Believe me, you WILL notice the difference between what weight you were and what you are. It is just a matter of keeping perspective, not losing faith and not losing site of the goal. Remember, this is a life style change and we didn't get the size we are overnight so we are not likely to take it off overnight (unfortunately! ). As for weigh-ins, we have been doing them every Friday morning. I think more often helps us stay in focus....once a month gives me FAR too much time to stray!

I wanted to skip this month's weigh in, but I got on the scales last night. I gained 5 lbs. I'm so mad at myself. I've missed a month of zumba classes and working out. So I'm going to the gym after work and workout for whatevery time is allowed before I need to pick up my youngest at daycare.

Myrna, thanks for the encouragement. I'm really just going to have to kick it up a notch to burn more calories.
I know some are weighing in each Friday, but that would just drive me batty. Different strokes for different folks, right. It's all about what works for each one of us, as long as we get there.

Lori,
Jump back on the wagon! Come on, you can do it!

Pilates today, that's slow aerobics. Really good for us...well...those of us who move a little slower these days
But don't be fooled, it's a work out.

Oops! I had CC open in two windows and posted on the wrong topic here!

Well.....I tried to get out on the right foot last month. I joined Biggest Loser Etsy, but they only allowed you to weigh in on a certain day before a certain time. You had to have your picture of the front of you posing with an object the moderator chose and a picture of your feet on the scale. Half the time I didn't have the object they requested. It was simple requests, but umm....I'm the odd one that didn't have SUN GLASSES! (one of my 5 boys did something to them and I just never had them replaced.)

I did weigh myself. I gained the 5 pounds back that I lost earlier. It didn't help that I drowned my sorrows in some ice cream.

monday my SIL and I are gonna start supporting each other and go to the gym together.
