| Well, not so good for me this week. I gained 2.5 #. I was maintaining at 188, but not this week. However, on the up side, I will go back to eating popcorn instead of chips. No seriously I will do better this week. I'm back on the treadmill, as well as walking to the post office, walking to church (thats the longest one, over a mile one way), back to drinking lots of water (it helps it is hot right now). I should keep track of everything I eat, but I hate doing that, so I'm going to try the rest of this first. One thing I will do though, I will eat slower, count my chews. I will not get depressed. And I'm praying that tomorrow will bring a new job for me. I won't be so close to the kitchen all the time when I go back to work. I have an interview tomorrow (actually a second interview). Anyway, please keep up the spirits. I appreciate having this place to account to. I was going to a group, but with gas prices, and the way they have their rules, and it costs to belong to the group, I just wasn't enjoying it. Thank you all for being there for me. - Wanda Quote:

As for eating. I am able to add more to my diet now instead of just bland foods. I have still not touched a drop of coffee since two weeks ago or dark colored sodas. I am off my meds and just have them now if an attack occurs.(Knock on wood or my head).
Hopefully I will be back working out on the Wii soon. Just having to take my time getting back into a routine. Don't want to over do it. My legs are so sore from working two days after being off for almost two weeks. I need new shoes I think.
Well that is my week. I will check in later to see how everyone is doing.
Smiles n hugs

| How is everyone doing this week so far? I haven't gotten on the scale yet I am scared to look. I broke down yesterday hubby brought my favorite home for a treat. We have this bakery where he works that just make the most wicked donuts ever. I had one. Guess I will be working that off this week. I am hoping next week to be back to doing the Wii as I am feeling so much better now. I am also working more at the restaurant so that should help. I have three busy days this weekend with work. The amount of running we do on Sat and Sun I should be losing at least two pounds. lol

| Good Morning All! I haven't been here in quite awhile and, unfortunately, I pretty much have to opt out of this challenge since life has got crazy busy over the past month. From mid-July to the end of Sept. I have company that is keeping me busy. This company is various groups of relatives from one end of the country to the other so it is constant cooking, cleaning and travelling. (Not that I am complaining....love to see family!) While I continue to drink lots of water (always have) and try to curb the junk, I won't have time to check in on a regular basis. Just went & weighed myself out of curiosity (after 2c coffee and breakfast) and was pleasantly surprised to see that I am down about 6 lbs from the beginning of the challenge. Hopefully I can keep that off over the next 6 weeks of company! Anyway, good luck to everyone and I will check in when I can! | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 13%, 12 Points needed |

| well I wanna join. maybe this time will be different. I have only read teh first 2 pages but I wanna join. I am 300 pounds and my over all goal is lose 150. I know I am a habit eater and stress, and worry, and being bored I eat. I know its all bad and I am worst late at night after the kids are in bed which again I know is the worst time to eat. I have begun eating smaller meals and attempting to alleviate snacks from the house. (that is hard too yes)
I am attempting to use the carb controlled method of weight loss.
My hubby is not home every night (trucker) so he isn't much moral support. and of course he doesn't understand how hard it is to give up what we love.
I have a 10 yo and an 8 yo and I want to be healthier so I can be with them on more fun stuff. beaches, six flags, camping, hiking. My weight holds us back and I know that. I thank you all in advance for your encouragement. | | | | | Senior Member Level up: 19%, 73 Points needed |

| Welcome jloveg!
May I suggest that you don't overwelm yourself! start small, but push yourself - walk around the block after dinner, or in the morning! if you can, do both! - if you find it 'easy' then do more!
Find and an activity to do at night instead of eating... knitting? cross stitch? - something that doesn't mix with food well.
Have HEALTHY snacks available and easy to grab!
Someone earlier was in a rut - try changing your routine around for a few days - it may shock your system back into losing!
I am very pleased (and surprised) to say that I am a little bit down - shocking since I have eaten so much cake this week! but I have been on the bike almost every day (yesterday I went 12.5 km and over 600 calories) Now that the cake is gone, maybe I can lose MORE! I am down 7 lbs since Jan 15th... not much, but at least it is the right direction!
I can't wait until the Biggest loser starts! I find that show inspirational! AND I work out during it and I feel like I am not working out alone! LOL! | | | | | Super Moderator Level up: 40%, 63 Points needed |

| I just want to add!
1 pound = 3500 calories - the idea is to use more calories that you consume - sounds simple, when you think about how many calories you have used and how many you have eaten, it becomes easy to see if you are on the right track! | | | | | Moderator Level up: 42%, 404 Points needed |

| I'm baaack! to the newcomers and glad to have you on board. The more the merrier and the more inspiration to draw from. If you have any questions you can pm me or just ask it here.
I have not been around for a while, because, DD and family were here for a few days and then I went to their place to babysit. Now I am ready to get back to work on these excess pounds. | |
