| Wow tashy thanks for sharing. I was over 225 lbs when I married my first hubby, when we split up I found out I was a diabetic I lost a great deal of weight not too mention when under emotional stress as I was the weight came off. I have since gained weight back and it is like a yo-yo. I have managed to stay under the 190 pound mark for the last three years but still have to lose some more. I want to do it for my health more than anything.
Looks like I will be down some weight this week coming as I have been put on a very strict diet of bland foods. No coffee, pop, no fruit or fruit juice, stay away from fried foods, spicy foods, etc, I am allowed yogurt, bread, water and tea. This should be an interesting week for me lol
I can't do any works out either, that kind of sucks
Anyways I will be back later. Have a great day everyone
Smiles n hugs

| I hope this diet does the trick for you. It sure isn't what we are used to eating, but, hopefully it won't be for long.
I will be praying for you. We'll get you better!!! | | | | | Moderator Level up: 34%, 322 Points needed |

| Thanks busia
Well day two of this bland diet thing and I messed up some where. Just finished eating and am a little uncomfortable not sure what it was with dinner so now I will have to eat each thing separately to figure it out. Or it could just be I ate a little more then I should have because I was feeling so much better lol. I got on the scale for giggles this morning and I am down another pound or so. I am feeling a lot better. It is just hard to pin point the foods creating the problems for me. I so wanted fried onions tonight with dinner but I didn't dare have any. It is just a matter of training my taste buds to enjoy food without so much seasoning and such. This weekend was a reality check for me that is for sure. Must eat more healthier that is the rule of the house now. I think the hardest thing is going to be eating out. We eat out at least once a week that is not an option for me right at this moment.
Oh and it is my second day without coffee at all. I do have a little headache from withdrawal but other wise I am not really missing it too much. I thought I would have going nuts by now considering I can drink up to two pots a day as well as I have been soda free for two days. Not too bad but dang water is getting boring. lol
OK off to make some chicken breast for lunches. Baked not fried.
Hope everyone is doing good.
Smiles n hugs

| 7Up and some other sodas are caffeine free. When I had cut out Pepsi I had a headache from hell. The dr. told me to taper off. Going cold turkey is nasty! | | | | | Senior Member Level up: 19%, 73 Points needed |

| Good morning, Ladies, I'm baaaaack! Spent the last week down in New York melting. Heat and humidity both were unbelievable! Got home Thursday night in time to unpack the car, repack and take another 5 hour drive up north to a funeral. Spent the weekend there and got back home Sunday night. Needless to say, "diet" has not been in my vocabulary but I think I melted off a pound or so in NY. Will have to get back on track this week though. I have 5 days to myself and then I have a string of company for the next 8 weeks so need to be organized before then! Have a great...and skinny week! | | | | | Moderator Level up: 12%, 135 Points needed |

| I do not know what happened to that picture?
Is it the light exposure, or what?
Well, 200 & some odd pounds doesn't mean anything without the description of how tall you are.
Now my sister is 5'4" & she looked good @ 125 lbs.
Whereas I'm only 5'3/4" & I look good @ 105 lbs: which means that I have to loose 45 lbs @ least. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 17%, 187 Points needed |

| Tashy, Thanks for the picture and the encouragement. How long did it take you to lose the weight? And what got you through the plateaus? (as if having a stroke at 27 isn't enough incentive to get you through!)
I'm going to pressume you aren't 7'3", which the height at which a weight of 265 is a healthy BMI. How much did you lose? And how do you keep it off?
Am I overwhelming you with too many questions?
Thanks for the support. Like so many other areas of life, it's nice to get answers from someone who's traveled the road.
Thanks again,
