| Are we supposed to weigh in today?? If so.........boy have I got a story!!
Thought that I didn't lose any weight last week......so not true!! When we first started, I made sure that my scale was correct by weighing a 10 lb bag of unopened flour on it. Got it all set up! Well, when I went back the next week, I hadn't lost anything and was confused. This past Saturday, hubby went to weigh himself and couldn't believe that he hadnt lost anything either. You can tell he lost some by looking at him. My pants were feeling baggier as well. So off I go to get the bag of flour. SOMEONE (probably my 5 year old daughter) had been messing with the scale. Come to find out, we had lost a few pounds.
I started at 168 and am now down to 162!! Yay me!!! Thought everyone would love a little funny today!!

| See, and you were so upset. Maybe it made you work harder this week? Yeah for both of you!
Erin, the dietitian at work, says that the best thing to count to lose weight is carbs. They are the truest measure of sugar. The average person should shot for 45-60 carbs a meal plus two snacks not more than 15 carbs.
This came up when I read all the way down a label and realized the percentages were based on a 2000 calorie diet. I'm going to be fat forever if I eat 2000 calories!
I have a basic list to help count carb foods (which is turning out to be easier than I thought it would be). If anyone wants it, pm me and I'll scan it and send it to you.
Keep up the good work! We're worth it!

| I'm actually gonna keep doing what I've been doing. I talked to my doctor and he said that I shouldn't lose more than 2 pounds a week. That was 3 per week but he said at first that was ok. I'm pretty happy though!! | | | | | Moderator Level up: 17%, 187 Points needed |

| Sorry Dawn, I was afraid if I posted that together it would sound wrong. Should have listened to that small voice.
I really am glad you found something that is working for you. And I'm really glad you consulted your doc.
The carb idea was for the few who what they are doing isn't working. I didn't mean it directly for you, again, I'm sorry it came off that way.
Keep up the good work, and keep that bag of flour handy for next week;).

| Well done Dawn! WooHoo!!
I am on my cycle this week, so that will be my excuse to why I didn't lose! (but I usually go up a pound or two - I didn't)

| Laura,
Sorry I misunderstood you. I always said that sometimes it's hard to understand a post. Can't tell how the person is speaking. Same with texting but my 13 year old said it's easy to understand! Guess I'm behind the times!!

| Well done Dawn, keep it going. The commitment is always harder than the actual diet and exercise - so keep it up and I am sure you will reach your goal.
I have lost 1lb this week. I consider that an accomplishment since my daughter's wedding was this week and I over induldged!
