| Welcome to the weight loss challange!
On Jan 15th we weigh in - then on the same day each month - everyone who is in the challange will send a card or something VERY small to the person with the highest percentage weight loss each month- that is part one (the biggest looser for each month will need to have at least 5 posts in the weight challange each month other than thier weigh in)
The other part of this would be the daily thread where you post encouragement, tips, your food intake / what you have done for exercise etc - The person with the highest post count each month (of valid posts) will get a little surprise in the mail. The person who lost the most weight sends something (they gained from the encouragement) the surprise could be something small and hand made, or just a token type gift, or even just a card, but something to acknowledge the help they are providing!
In order for this to work for us, we need to come in and post!!
Post recipes that are low fat / low calorie or just plain healthy! Post exercise tips! Post anything on topic that will be helpful or encouraging!
We aren't going to tell you how to loose the weight - we will offer each other pointers, share how we plan to loose weight and shape up! We suggest that you find a program that suits you - and we are here to encourage each other toward our goals!
Have you missed the Jan 15th start date? Anyone can join - you can follow along until the 15th of the following month and then do an official weigh in. Also please announce your intention to join in in the roll call thread. When you add your name to the roll call, expect me to send a private message asking for your snail mail address and an email address. I will keep a journal with this information and will not store it on my computer or share it with anyone else (besides Mygirlfriday).

| It is still active, it just took a turn. Some people prefer weighing in everyweek, so you see those posts a lot. Some prefer weighing in once a month.
I don't think "the biggest loser" award is still being posted. I think we've settled into a comfortable "support group" setting.
