We had a small outdoor wedding for my 2nd marriage. I just got an outdoor garden arches ($15 for Garden Ride) and I decorated it flowers and tulle, bought a few live palms, borrowed chairs and stand for guest book from a local church, bridesmaids dresses I got from JCPenney's for $29 each, my dress from David's bridal for $99, I made the bouquets, corsages, flowergirl basket, ring bearer pillow and bouts with silk flowers myself and music was on a cassette tape. Reception was the most expense, but did everything as cheap as I could do with me and my grandmother making all the food.

Congrats! I love the castle cake idea.

Thank you. I saw it walking past the brides craft isle at wally world and about flipped. So without asking, I put it in the cart. LOL. My mom says when it comes time to make the thing she is going on vacation. Cause you got to frost the cones of the turrets and add forsting to the windows and door. I want the cake just like the box...

I was going to say you can buy fresh flowers just order them ahead of time and make your own bouquet. It is very inexpensive and I did my entire wedding party for under $200 so if you are just having your own this would be pretty simple and cheap. Just flowers, florist tape (Walmart) and ribbon of your choice.

We did a jp wedding and had her come out to the atrium in my Mom's apt building. I bought my outfit at an outlet store for $100. and got hubby's and 2 sons outfits at Sears for $45 a piece. I also got fresh flowers for 4 guys, 3 corsages, and my bouquet for $45.00 well worth it IMO my Mom got some white helium balloons and put them on either side of the JP and we went out to dinner at a really good restaurant afterwards. We went to the restaurant before hand and arranged the menu and everything then made sure it was ok to bring in our own cake and at cake time they brought it all out and served it for us. Everyone brought cameras and we had our wedding pictures done at Sears. All in all the whole thing was under $1500.

I wanted to add that I went on ebay for alot of my items and got them for a steal of a price compared to what I would have paid within my city. I bought my center piece for the cake for like $30.00, tiarra for $30 as well where it would have cost me about $300 here in the city. So be sure to check those kinds of things out that you are wanting to get to see if its cheaper to do that too.
