I have loved reading everyones stories too!!!!

I forgot to tell you all I became a Mother and Grandmother in one day!! I have 2 stepsons and 5 Grandchildren!! My boys are almost the same age as me!!LOL My smallest Grandkids call me Nanna!! I love it!!!

DH is 17 years older than me!! My oldest brother is the same age as him, so it never even entered my mind at the time!!LOL

I was 39 when I married G and he was my first Husband!!!

Oh of my favourite Wedding stories was our Great Mawmaw!! You will see her name through out the pages here!! She told us her storie once and I thought it was a joke!!

Here's what I can remember....

Laura was 16 and DH 17 and in thier county they could not legaly marry, so off to the next county late at night, with a JP and his wife in the back of an old gas station, they waited for Bonanza to finish before they could start!! The JP's wife was in her nightgown and curlers in her hair stood up for her!!LOL
They were married that night and drove back to their family homes and kept it a secret for I think it was 2 weeks when they finally told their families. Her dad just said I guess there is nothing we can do about it now!! They where married and in love till the day she passed away!! I can't remember how many years it was. Mawmaw(Laura, told her store much better than me, with all the details, much funner!!)
Anyone can add to this what they remember about her, some days I miss her so much!! She was a wonderful person and friend!!

My first marriage took place in 1981 and I had all the usually trimmings, etc. That lasted for 18 yrs before I had to call it quits. He was an alcoholic.

Anyway, onto better things.

I met Rob online through AOL. He just said 'hi' one day and when I checked out his profile it said he was from the Poconos and we had just came back from visiting there, so I decided to go ahead and chat with him.

We hit it off immediately. Chatted for awhile then I eventually gave him my phone number and he called me several times. After about 3 months he came down to meet me.

We just got along so well right from the start. He drove back and forth every weekend to see me for about 2 yrs, then I invited him to move down here with me. So we were together about 3 yrs and he asked me to marry him.

Proposed to me with the ring and everything at Long John Silver's. LOL There's a story behind that one too.

Anyway, we went to Virginia to get married since we both been through the 'big' one before. Went to the race track and casino that evening and came home the next day.

We've been married over 3 yrs now and nothing has changed - I'm still as much or more in love with him as I was from the start.

My first marriage was in 1979 and lasted 10 months...he was a alcoholic and very abusive...I left taking both our daughters with me...


I met my second husband while raking leaves...yep he tried to pick me up in my front yard......we lived next door to each other...I was the girl next door...for 3 months he kept asking me out and I kept telling him no..So finally I went out with him,I even remember the movie we saw,it was The Princess Bride and I had a nice time...I moved across town and we still saw each other...we moved in together a year and a half later...he proposed 5 years later...I have 3 kids and he has 2 kids...he proposed sitting in the car in front of all of our kids...

16 years ago in April I was diagnosed with breast cancer...had a mastectomy and while undergoing chemo I planned our wedding...We were married in 1992,3 months after I was diagnose...We have been married for 16 years.His mother said it would never last...fooled her didn't we...lol...We were married in our home with our kids present...

Last May I was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer and he has stood by me every step of the way...I can honestly say I married my best friend...I love him with all my heart...He is my soul mate...
