Need some help ~

Posting this here because it is wedding related ~



My daughter is getting married and because more than half of the guest will be coming from 1500 plus miles away ~ she will miss some of the shower fun ~

The week before she will have a personal shower and a bachorlette party but I wanted to do something a little different !

So I have purchased invitations ans cute recipe cards as well as blanks ~

I am going to mail these recipe cards in the invitations saying this....

A Recipe Shower

You are invited to a bridal shower ,

Please write your favorite recipe on one of the enclosed cards, and your advice for a successful marriage on the other. Please return ASAP



I will include a SASE to my daughter



now what I need help with is , I would like to enclose a small flat mailable, shower favour ! any ideas

There are not alot of flat things but what about a magnet frame for their engagement picture. I know when my boys were in public school their school pictures always came with a set of four different magnet frames, they were great as i always put them in my grandparents Christmas cards.

Bookmark with their picture on it, you could make these on the computer then laminate them

The only other flat thing I can think of is stickers or scrap items.

thanks Meg , I have decided to make some plantable seed paper and cut out hearts then add a ribbon and write thank you on them ~

Hmmm that sounds neat , when you say plantable seed paper do you make the paper with seeds in it or are you attaching the seeds to the paper someway.

the paper is made with seeds in ~ then the shape (heart) is planted in the ground ~

AT MICHELLES WEDDING WE HAD SEED PACKETS . SHE TYPED UP A VERSE AND HAD THEM PRINTED OFF AND ATTACHED THEM TO THE PACKET. I BELIEVE THEY WERE FORGET ME NOTS BUT NOT SURE. THE FLOWER COLOR, MATCHED HER WEDDING COLORS. THE VERSE WAS ADORABLE AND WAS SUITABLE FOR A COUPLE GETTING MARRIED. EVERYONE LOVED THEM.

That is also nice we thought about that too and using lupins which is the popular flower in Atlantic Canada ~ then I saw this seed paper thing and really liked it very eco friendly

While in Hallmark today picking an item up I saw the seed paper packets. I think its a wonderful idea.

really I will have to check ours , I did want to buy some and checked Michaels but they never heard of it
