Transfer the invitation on to vellium paper. Wrap around your candle, and use an embossing heat tool. Apply heat slowly, and the vellium with the invitation will become part of the candle. Hope this helps. I have made several candles like this and put my rubberstamped designs on votive candles. They come out really nice.

I have another way to do this. Copy the invitation to plain white paper. Melt some wax ina double broiler. If you don't have a double broiler, put the wax in a coffee can and place the can in a large pot of water. Watch the wax closely! When wax is melted, take a paint brush and dip in wax. Brush the wax onto the back of the invitation. Attach the invitation to the candle while the wax is still warm. When you have the invitation where you want it, dip the entire candle into the melted wax. This will cover the invitation and make it part of the candle. |
