Default Bonnets
Old 03-25-2005, 11:19 PM   #1 (permalink)

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a pattern for a baby bonnet. I am looking for an old one. The kind from Little House on the Pairie kind of one. I want to make a couple for my girls step sister. If anyone could help I would gladly appreciate it. I have been looking and looking and have yet to find any.

Thanks

Leah aka poorgirl

hey Leah, welcome to CC.

here is one I found online that is for the coal scuttle bonnet...no gathering to it.

also try doing a search at google for "prairie bonnet pattern". I came up with a few hits with different prices for the patterns.

good luck and have fun!

Hi Leah, and welcome! I made a bonnet for a Halloween costume one year. It was more for a toddler, but you could modify it. I believe it was a Butterick pattern. Maybe do a search for Butterick or McCalls etc "bonnet patterns". Hope you find what you are looking for. I know how frustrating that can be. I had to make a genie costume for my dauhter one year and couldnt find EXACTLY the right thing. good luck again
