Default Gluing or attaching fabric to the bottom of a clear glass plate
Old 10-26-2005, 03:00 PM   #1 (permalink)

I am looking for instructions on how to Mod Podge fabric to the bottom of a clear glass plate. I saw one, and it was beautiful, but I don't know how the person cut the fabric so evenly on the edge of the plate. Also, what would go over the fabric when finished? Would Mod Podge work as a sealer?

Thanks for any help.

Done this many times! You cut out some fabric a little larger that your plate. Mod Podge the pretty side to the plate. Then mod podge a few coats on the back. You might want to sit it face down on a can and let it dry several hours. Then take a nice sharp pair of scissors and trim up close to the plate.

Works like a charm...

You can wash these lightly. I would never stick them in the soap water or dishwasher. Just quickly run some water over the top to clean it.
