Have your child paint a mason or jelly jar with orange paint.. once it is dry, the paint can be etched with a popsicle stick to make Jack O Lantern faces. For an added touch add a hat for the top of the jar out of a child's sock that has been placed on top of the jar and then rolled up on the bottom..... poke a hole in the back of the hat and then fill the jar with mini yellow Christmas lights (allowing the plug to come out the hole in the hat) and plug them in so that Jack can glow! If you would rather skip adding lights, simply fill the jar with candy corn, died pumpkin seeds, or a candle.. the ideas are countless!
