Default any ideas for mason jars?
Old 01-08-2003, 01:55 AM   #1 (permalink)

I made those sand art brownies things for gifts for Christmas and I have a bunch of jars left over. Does anyone know some crafty things to do with them?

How about making some lamps out of them? Fill the base (jar) with potpourri, colorful stones, small collectibles, etc. Maybe you could use them in your crafts room to hold supplies such as ribbon pieces or buttons. Or store them for a couple months and can some goodies!

Mason jars can be used for gifts. I just received one for Christmas with a t-shirt inside and top decorated.

Also can fill with potpourri and add a small set of lights (10)with the cord hanging over the top to plug in. Then a dolie placed over that and ribbon tied on to hold that on.

Can also be used to put Easter bunny in and surrounded with easter eggs. In other words an Easter scene, with decorated top of your choice. [i

You can decorate the top and place cottonballs, Q-tips, baby supplies in bottom. Kind of like a catch all jar. There are so many idea's that only take a few minutes to put together.

Hi. I have made a small lamp out of a mason jar. I put potpourri in it.(you could put anything. Went and bought a lamp assembly kit (not to expensive) drill hole in lid and install the lamp pieces you have a small lamp for a bedroom or anywhere.

I was at Joanne's the other day, and saw a neat idea...

They made candle holders out of mason jars. They painted the outside of the jars. Then they took a votive holder and put in the top so it sat inside the rim. They were really pretty. You could fill the jar with potpurri as well.

It's on my list of things to do, as I have a ton of old canning jars as well.

:)

Faith
