Default Any ideas for me?
Old 12-31-1969, 08:00 PM   #1 (permalink)

I saw someone use it for a top of a coffee table and put favorite photos underneath. If you had a table or built one with a box like top you could attach the window to the top and underneath just put in some favorite items[addsig]

Default Any ideas for me?
Old 12-31-1969, 08:00 PM   #2 (permalink)

Oooh, oooh, send them to me, LOL!!! I am waiting for a friend to replace his windows so I can start on some projects I saw at a craft show recently. If they have the sections in them, you can use them like a shadow box. The ones I saw had a boquet of flowers in each section, one for spring, summer, fall, and winter. It was so pretty. They wanted $85 for it. I didn't buy it, but someone did. These things sold like hotcakes at that price. I plan on selling mine for much lower. But- I ramble!!

On to ideas. You could paint scenes on a piece of plyboard and put it behind the glass like an actual outdoor scene. I can't paint anything that actually looks like something found in nature, so I plan to paint snowmen looking in the window. If you like flower arranging, make a medow scene. Use a small picket fence, put dried flowers behind it, and add some tiny birdhouses. I also plan to take 3/4 " plywood and cut 4 hearts in it for each of the window sections. Then, I will fill the hearts with dried roses from the boquets my husband has given me over the years. I'm going to go call Jeff and see if he's got those windows replaced yet!!!!

I also had this idea. You could make a tribute to Oreo. BTW, I read your posts about him and sat and bawled my eyes out. I'm really sorry for your loss.

You could either make it like a huge scrapbook page or a shadow box with Oreo's favorite toys, pictures, a ball of yarn, etc. Then you'd always have him close.

Happy crafting,

Sami

Default projects for using windows???
Old 12-31-1969, 08:00 PM   #3 (permalink)

I have 10 window panes with the glass in that measure (H) 20 1/4 x (W) 28 1/4 x (D) 1 3/8. My neighbor was throwing them out and they are in good shape. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what I can do with these?

Also, I tried to insert a picture of these but I just can\'t seem to figure out how to do that. Anyone know how to do that?
