I love Thanksgiving. The smells of this holiday are one of my favorite things in the world and bring back so many wonderful memories of my child hood. I can remember like it was yesterday sitting at our dining room table with my mom, dad and brothers, my grandpa and grandma Price and my Uncle Denny and Aunt Lois. There was always a football game, yes we girls played too. After dark the adults and the kids would play games and laugh until I thought I would wet my pants! I have tried my best to make sure that my children have some of these same kinds of memeories. I give thanks for a caring and loving family. I miss those that are gone, daddy, grandma and grandpa and uncle Denny, you are loved still and missed so much. Thanks to you for SHOWING me how to love.

Remember to be THANKFUL, there are so many people out there that won't be having a big Thanksgiving dinner, some won't be having any dinner. Sadly we have so many homeless people in our country and then there are our armed services dodging bullets and bombs :(

Thank you Lord for all my blessings

Thanksgiving will be spent at our house. Our daughter, her hubby, and our two grandsons will come over to help us eat all of the food that I'll prepare. (If they don't, we'll have leftovers for over two weeks!!)

Default Thanksgiving Poll
Old 11-15-2007, 10:02 PM   #24 (permalink)

We will be having Thanksgiving here with our daughters. Since we were married 30 yrs ago it has become our tradition that my hubby prepares the whole meal. From the Turkey to the fruit salad. It is a real treat for me.

Old 11-20-2007, 07:25 AM   #25 (permalink)

;)Good Morning Everyone, I just joined this site, and am very interested in being a part of the Crafters Community. I work with Plastic Canvas, and would be interested in any patterns you may have, as well I would share my patterns with you. I also would teach anyone to do plastic canvas, as I have been doing this for about 20 years.

Talking Over the river and through the woods....
Old 11-21-2007, 07:50 PM   #26 (permalink)

We were going to my "other half's" sister's for dinner. It would have been the first time in 15 years the whole side of his family were together, but unfortunately we live in northeastern Vermont and the weather has been horrible! they are calling for a mixture of freezing rain and snow:( the in laws live 2 hrs away! so i made sure we had all the fixin's here and we will have less fortunate neighbors over for a BIG meal! ( my daughter also invited us...that's where we usually go but the weather doesn't permit that either) tonight i make homemade pumpkin pie and a special pecan pie for my sweetie!:D
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
