Thank you

Many people do not realize how much a simple thank you means to me and my family.

My husband is active duty Army and is currently in Iraq for trip #3 in the last 5 years.

He has been gone this time since June 2008, and although he came home for 18 days, he will not be home for good until maybe September.
We also just got the deployment orders for Afghanistan and he will be leaving approx a year after he returns to go there for a year.

A marriage in this age is hard enough, a marriage in the military is even harder with all the separation.

Your thank-you's, help more than you even know. It makes us smile on the outside, but you light up our souls on the inside for hours with those words.

It makes the family realize that we are appreciated and wanted.

I thank you for this.

It takes special people and a lot of love to live like this. My husband sailed the freighters on the Great Lakes and would be gone sometimes up to 2 weeks. I thought that was bad. I am praying for you and your family.
