I pray everyday that our boys and girls come home safely. My son, Billy, is serving in Iraq. I have to tell you I was a basketcase when that call came and the Sgt told me. I knew it was coming but I didn't know at first that Bill had volunteered to go over seas with another unit. I didn't know whether to hug him or strangle him. I was crushed, but I had to be strong because I am "Mom". Billy is doing fine over there, at least that's what he tells me. He won't tell me anything because he says I worry too much. He's right. I've been reading these post and the support is amazing. You all are wonderful. These boys and girls in Bill's unit appreciate all the support they get, even if it's silent. They are a wonderful group. I just want to say Thank You for your support. I'm new to this and it's great to read and browse this site instead of sitting and wondering. Thank You, Barb:usa:
Hi there,
Your family will be in my prayers. You have a very corageous son. Kids like him make me so proud! My brother served in the military for 12 years. He was in Hondurus fighting the santanistas (remember them) and in the first gulf war. My husband was in the military for 12 years also. I have 2 nephews and a niece (and her husband) all in the military. Two are in Iraq, one in Korea, one in Afganastan. We worry but are so very very proud of them. Most people don't realize when they are trash talking the USA and the military that FREEDOM ISN'T FREE. God bless you and your family!
Dear God,
I didn't think orange went with purple until I saw the sunset you made on Tuesday night. That was really cool.
Hi Barb, to CC!!! It's nice to have you tell us about your son, Bill. All of our troops are in my prayers. I pray that Bill comes home safe and sound soon.
Hugs, Paula

I, too pray everyday for our boys and girls. My nephew just returned from his second tour in Iraq. His first tour was right after boot camp and training. He has decided to reup since he would have to go back before his time was up. There will be more tours in his future as with many others. I just pray that they all return home safely.
Cindy
Hello Everyone,
I want to thank each and everyone of you for the wonderful support. I copy and paste every message in a IM to Bill and he wants everyone to know that he and all the men and women in his unit appreciate every word. I haven't yet figured out how to post his picture but I will to let you all see his wonderful yet onry grin.
Barb..
Hopefully your son is either home by now or at least safe. My step-son came home in Jan. with TBI..tramatic brain injury plus a broken shoulder. He's doing alot better & has been sent finally from Ft Bragg to Ft Gordon til he is medically discharged. He is 48 but doing well even so. He was so mad when he got hurt that he had to leave his people there.
Please give your Bill a big hug for us.
Take care & God Bless you all.
