Post Soldier needs letters....

Hey There ~
I am writing because a young man that has been friends with my son since Middle School left for Army Boot Camp in the beginning of January.
This young man, Joe, has had a rough life to begin with, but is also having a very rough time in boot camp... he is on a 30 day no train as they believe he may have had a seizure....... He is finding it very hard to keep a positive outlook and is in dire need of words of wisdom and letters of love, care, and friendship.
They have told him that he may have to restart his Boot Camp training due to this 30 day no train.

Please, if you can find it in your heart to send me a PM or an email, I will print it out and enclose it in the letters to Joe.
I know that he will be amazed to hear from you and any responses from I, I will post on here.

He is so desperate for mail, he begs and pleads for letters everytime he writes.

Hi Louise,
My name is Chris and I am a Veteran of the US Air Force. I was on No train for 6 months before being discharged from the service. I would be very proud if you could send me his address and My DH (also a Veteran of the US Air Force) Would be happy to send him letters of encouragement. We've been there and know what he is going through.

Thank you so very much for your kindness.... I sent you a PM with his address.
It means so very much to me to know that others care..... I know that Joe will be so pleased to hear from you! He is such a wonderful person, but I will warn you, his spelling is not very good.... :)
As I said, he has had a rough life, but he has a heart of gold. While having a difficult time, he writes to my youngest two, 13 and 15, telling them to always watch out for one another and to always be there for me.... He knows that they are very much Momma's boys, but to remind them of family loyalty, I find to be wonderful, when he is going through a lot, himself.
Once again, thank you for taking the time out of your day, and thinking of one of my many kids.... It is a very selfless act and you have brought many tears to this mom's eyes, joy to this mom's heart, and I know that you will bring a smile to that soldiers face!
You are an ANGEL!

I wanted you to know that I sent Joe a letter today. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, and
my sons thought he moght like to have some postcards from our travels. My sons are 23, 20, 17. All of their lives they have been around Veterans and active duty and would like to be pen pals with Joe.
We will be keeping him in our prayers. :angel:

Chris,
Thank you for bringing sunshine into the lives of my family.... I know that Joe will be so thrilled to hear from you.
I told 3 of the young men that stopped over this evening and they could not believe that there are 2 different people from this board that do NOT know Joe, yet are so willing to write to him.... It is wonderful to show these 15 - 18 year old young men, just how great people are...... how people help people....... it is something for them to learn from and I know that Joe is going to gain so much from everything he is going through.

Prayers are going out for Joe. I will PM you. You can send me his address. My ds was in the Army, my dd was in the Navy. My late dh was a Marine and my present dh was an Army paratrooper.

Hi Louise, I have a 19 year old grandson in the Marines going to Iraq in March. I've talked to him recently and he says getting mail is wonderful especially my funny cards. I would be happy to send your young man some letters and cards. Send me an address and I'll be happy to write him.
