Most of us realize, as we grow older, the importance of knowing the health history of your parents, grandparents and siblings. If you are a new mom, please take my advice and get nosey with your and your hubby's genetic backgrounds. Do it while your parents and grandparents are still living, file it in a safe place and remind yourself to review it at least once a year. You'll be surprised how helpful this info will be for you AND your children throughout your lives.
You can save your family a lot of health problems by having this information as many illnesses, such as diabetes, occur during pregnancy and after age 50.
