| Well if all it takes to be a seasoned quilter is to have made lots of quilts then I qualify. I love the art of quilt making. The fabric colors and patterns availalbe make me smile and wish I could make them all.
My suggestion to anyone looking to start quilting is frst be prepared, part time quilting rarely happens and leads to full time not doing house work or eating or sleeping :)
Second look for what style or kinds of quilts you are drawn to the most. When you have a particular style chosen you can find a starter or easy pattern for your first project.
Third start smallish, choosing a full size bed quilt with borders and applique and and and, you get the idea. Choose a project that you can finish.
Hope this helps, I have over the years compiled several easy yet looks harder (my personal favorite kind of pattern) patterns that I can share or direct you to their location. Feel free to email me with questions or suggestions, I love talking quilts.
Happy Quilting
