Well, we have arrived in Texas. It is HOT! I knew it was going to be but somehow I was not quite prepared for it. Plus the fact that my hubby is concerned about expenses and wont turn the air conditioner on above 85. Absolutely miserable for cleaning and unpacking. I guess I shouldnt complain he is working outside trying to get the yard, garage etc in order. The dog REFUSES to do his business in the yard and will only poop on the office carpet, sigh. He also has had an invasion of fleas since we got here so I am trying to deal with that. Suffice it to say that before we got here I was excited and scared about this move, at this moment I am frustrated and scared. I am assuming things will get better, but then you know what they say about assuming, sigh. Please, please say a prayer for my family so that we might adjust to this move without killing each other or ending up in divorce court!!
Dear God,
I didn't think orange went with purple until I saw the sunset you made on Tuesday night. That was really cool.
Give yourself some time to adjust. Moving is a stressing event. You will feel a lot better in a couple of weeks when most things are on there right spot and the dog has adjusted too

If all goes well, we will be moving sometime after October. We were planning on buying a house in FL, it can be hot there also, but the good news is - NO SNOW! I guess I'm getting old because it just feels to COLD!

Gosh, I've missed alot - I saw you were moving but not sure why - did Hubby find a job in TX ? I sure hope so, I know you were worried back some time ago about his work.
As for fleas, if you have sand and warm weather, fleas will invade in a heartbeat.
You need to bomb your house and then do it again in 7 days and again 7 days later that should get them - find a mild flea shampoo for poochie and keep bathed
Also get flea treatment for yard at lowes/homedepot etc and treat then again in a week or so to kill the eggs - may have to treat house/yard/ poochie several times once you get it under control - Keep treating or they will return - I assume TX is like Fla and that's how we had to deal with it in Fla. Once we moved in our house and kept yard and house treated we never had a problem again - we also did not let our dogs out of our yard - they will pick up fleas in untreated areas like neighbors yards, walking along side road
Sending prayers that you get settled in and things under control soon
