ok ladies there are times in our lives that when we are sitting and just watching the news, you get a hurt deep inside your heart. well i got the today. just minutes ago, and after i collected myself sorry for the spelling for i am still shaking.....ok, this hurricane Gustav is heading straight for LA. 3 years to the day that hurricane Katrina hit... i started praying that god put his hand on this and move it out of that path.....i live in TX and if i had the choice i would take it.... and rather have it hit TX instead for the simple fact TX is not recovering STILL for one that hit 3 yrs ago....i hope this is making sence and im not just ranting but i feel that strongly to start a prayer chain for a hurricane.......hmmmm does that make me insanely out of my mind....thank you ladies

Praying that God take control of the weather situation. Everything happens for a reason, maybe God is allowing this to happen as a way of getting our attention so we start praying again, not just for the weather but for each other and our country too.

I am in prayer right along with you. I have many friends in Louisiana and am worried about them. I lost 2 friends when Katrina hit 3 years ago and it is still vivid in my mind. May the Lord take control and move this mighty wind another direction.

My friend Robin and her husband and little girl, 6 mo old, are in New Orleans. I pray that the Lord protect them.

You're prayer chain is also connected in NC Tashy. I can really feel for them. I was in FL when it hit & of course we didn't get it near as bad. However, I did go thru Ivan living on the coast & that was a real eye opener. One main reason I'm in NC inland now. The other couple I was there for in the last ten years were'nt near as bad. Our prayers & hugs are with LA.

Prayers for everyone in it's path. I pray it loses all it's steam. My sister in law and brother in law have just finished getting their lives back together since Kat. They are in the city of New Orleans and it has been a rough go for them both. He was a professor at the University there. We are on pins and needles ourselves here in Ontario.

I've been thinking the same the last couple of days. I feel so bad for those in LA having to hear this news also. God can move mountains and He can move hurricanes. I also pray that he moves this one back into the waters.
