I spend a lot of time outside these days with my grandson so he can play so I get to play in the garden ..... I never had a peony before and my sister bought this for me before she left it smells amazing too

Peonies are gorgeous.....don't know about your area, but up here in the "north country" they attract ants so we try not to plant them close to the house windows.

There are just so beautiful. Yours is nice a big bloom. We have one in the back yard it is starting to get really big. It is a deep fusia color. I am separating my one this fall and making four more with it and want to do this until I have a line of them running the property line.

Here is mine all in their morning glory.

I love them so much don't like the ants, so I don't bring them inside often. If you place them flower down in a bucket of water the ants are suppose to die and leave the flower then you are able to bring them in the house. My mother has done this for years.

HOW PRETTY ! THE COLOR IS FANTASTIC! IT LOOKS REALLY HEALTHY TOO! TKU FOR SHARING I SURE WISH I HAD THE SPACE TO GROW FLOWERS AGAIN I MISS THEM SOOOOOOO:(AN I HAD PEONIES ,ROSES, Johnny jumps, blackeyed susans,Well every thing ect....... I miss them ssooooooooooo:( :( GREAT PIC TOO!

I had heard along the way that the ants are needed for the flowers to open up. I don't bring those in either, they are full of ants and earwigs.

I love them too!! I was thining of growing them,since all my gardens are new, but was going to plant them away from the house!! I have lots of space to put them!!! Slide has helped me many times with perannuals. I have lovely gardens at the camp!! My lillies are doing great and I get black eyes susans too, she gave these both to me!!! Oh and one red tulip this year!!LOL

Slides gardens I think are ones that she inherited with her farm house so they are well established gardens!!! I take what ever she is willing to get rid of!!LOL
