| Okay, I've been dreaming of moving to Mississippi for a few years now. But I can get weather like that here! What happen to the warm south? That is NOT rocking chair and sweet tea weather! | | | | | Moderator Level up: 33%, 157 Points needed |

| This is very unusual weather for us.Probably won't happen again for another 5 or more years,so it is a happy moment for us.Although we do love our warm, sweet tea rocking on the porch weather. Here are a few more pics I had to get some resized. | |

| You folks North of the Mason Dixon must not understand... when we here in the South get a couple of flakes on a brick, schools are closed. That little snow Charlotte got is worth the brag down here.
What I don't understand is, Mississippi got snow, parts of Alabama, North Carolina, AND Kentucky got it too. Now, I'm smack dab in the middle of Tennessee... how, logically, did it miss us? I mean, look at a map. How did we not get even a dusting? All we have is cold temps and dark clouds. Whassupwitdat? | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 8%, 88 Points needed |

| Oh I miss the South, it's fine up here but my heart longs for the South. I've lived in various places south of the Mason Dixon most of my life.(Arizona, Kansas, N.C.=Army brat; Tenn; Florida; GA; Virginia=Navy wife)
Up here if you go to a resturant and ask for sweet tea they bring you plain tea and point at the sugar.
I work in food service, I called a lady "ma'am" and got snapped at and told I didn't know the meaning of the word and I should look it up before calling someone that. So I looked it up, maybe her dictionary is older than mine...
I do remember snow in Tennessee, but that was nearly 20 years ago now. Sorry Knit wit.
Another thing I miss, real buttermilk. All the buttermilk up here if fatfree. I had butter and cheese delivered to the house, so I asked the gal to see if she could find not fatfree. They work with 7 dairies and none of them have it.
Uhoh, memory lane ate up my time to get ready for work. Gotta run. Funny thing is, out here on the island we get about as much snow as Tenn. Just lots of ice, speaking of which, there goes the sand truck. If I hurry I can get in it's tracks. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 33%, 157 Points needed |

| Knit Wit don't feel bad about not getting any snow Paula iives in Mississippi and she did not get any snow either. It is funny that we got it way down here in south Mississippi and ones that live farther up to the north of the state did not get any snow. | | | | |
