House progress!!!

We have walls!!

I have my first wall going up as I type, we have 2 great carpenters and their helper!! We were truely Blessed in finding these guys. And as it turns out one is my second cousin, my Grandfather and his Grandmother where siblings!! How cool is that!!! I never knew this Great Aunt!!! I knew I had lots of reatives up here, so it's nice to meet some I never knew!!

Anyway have a look at this ablum and the other 2 as they have shown progress from day one of this adventure!!

I have updated the progress of the house!!

Things are moving much faster now!! Very exciting!!!

My shop floor was poored this morning and I should have my set up started next week!!!

Thanks girls, yes it is exciting to see this all happening right before me!!

Norene, you are right about the roof and pitch, it is a 12, 12 picth, we want cathedral ceilings but we couldn't because of the pitch, so we went with a coffered(sp) ceiling that is 9ft then slops up to 11 feet, you may have seen the trusses with the funny shape showing this part of the ceiling in it!!

This week we are having the sideing put on and I believe my big red door is ready too!!

I guess I should up date again, the shigles are now on and it looks great!! I picked a red, something I call old barn door red!!LOL!!!

Today the guys where working next door putting up a garage, we are now waiting on the electrician, then we will insulate and have the drywall put up.

Today I called to have a company stop by for an estimate on the kitchen and maybe even the bathoom cabinets!! I have ripped out pictures from magazines and cataloges of what I would like!! [img]images/smiley_icons/roflmbo.gif[/img]

This weekend the dividing walls where put up in the shop, and today DH and I did the wall board, so things are moving right along in both areas!! I hope to be set up in my shop by next weekend, not this , but next weekend!!Ugh!!!

I LOVE the front porch! DH and I would like to add one to our house, but not sure quite how we'd add it on without doing alot more renovations! [img]images/smiley_icons/oops!.gif[/img] [img]images/smiley_icons/hysterical.gif[/img]
