Last Night I Went To Go Into The Kitchen And I Noticed Two Cats On The Windowsill And Their Heads Were Going Back And Forth So I Left The Light Out And Went To The Window. I Thought I Was Hallucinating. There Were 7 Or 8 Skunks..maybe More.. Running Around Underneath The Window. The Skunks Were Running And Jumping Like Kids In A Playground. It Took My Breath Away. It Must Have Been A Mother And Babies Although They Were Fairly Grown. Two Of The Skunks Were Almost All White And One Was All Black. They Were Everywhere And Even Though I Knew They Were There I Couldnt Believe It. There Were So Many Of Them.

They Were So Darn Cute. Running With Their Tails Up. Running Around My Shed Chasing Each Other, Just Like Little Kittens. You Never Get A Chance To See A Family Of Skunks Like That. Earlier In The Year There Was A Mother And 4 Babies.
My mom when she was a teenager, she had a dog named bowjangles..bow for short. Well he loved to tangle with shunks. He would go hunting for them according to mom, then in the middle of the night he would come back and cuddle with mom.
Well I Love All Critters. This Has Been A Great Year For Me. A Mother Skunk And 4 Babies, Another And 6 Babies, A Raccoon And 2 Babies, An Oppossum, My Little Chippies Etc. Etc. I Have Turned My Yard In To A Habitat With Birdbaths, A Small One For 4 Legged Critters, Birdhouses And Feeders Everywhere. I Love Watching Them

I've got to agree with you Appleannie! There's nothing quite as soothing and reassuring as watching Mother Nature and her critters. We have bird feeders & baths in our back yard as well and get quite a variety of critters through (deer, fox, moose, birds and 1 wolf). In the early morning or at dusk is a great time to watch them all in action. Makes a person grateful for the simple things in life.
Yep I Agree. I Don't Get Wolves Or Foxes Etc. But The Ones I Do Get, I Enjoy Watching. I Have Tamed Quite A Few. The Birds Swarm Me Like Pigeons Because They Know I Am Filling The Feeders. I Got Hummers Coming Nose To Nose With Me Especially When Their Feeders Need Filled. It's Almost As Though They Are Annoyed With Me For Letting Them Go Empty. I Had 3 Bird Nests On My Deck. They Build Them In The Vines That Grow Up The Lattice On One Side. All You Hear Are Chirping, Hungry Babies. It's My Little Bit Of Country In The City.
