| I think we have a raccoon that eats the left over dog food in the dog's bowl that in the fenced part of my back yard every night. In the mornings the left over food is gone and dirt is in the water bowl. Also, something was getting in the horse feed tub (plastic trash can with lid). So I started putting a bungie cord around it. But I found little foot prints in dirt at the barn from whatever animal it was. I'm thinking a raccoon.

| funny how our perspectives are different! I hear racoon and think about calling a trapper - they are not something you want around when you have chickens! | | | | | Moderator Points: 28,334, Level: 73 | Level up: 74%, 216 Points needed |

| My Camera Is Charging As We Speak. They Love Pet Food. Jean Feeds Her Raccoons Dry Dog Food. The Babies Were So Adorable. You Have To Remember I Don't Live In The Country So To Have These Things In My Yard Is Such A Thrill. I Have 2 Chippies Running To Me When I Come Out With Peanuts And A Bunny That Comes When I Call For Bread. I Was Feeding Some Skunks That Were Getting Friendly. One Morning At 5:30 Rich Was Taking Garbage Out And The Skunks Thought It Was Me And Went After Him. He Ran In The House And Almost Pooped His Pants. I Laughed About That For Weeks. Oh Gosh Just To See Them Made My Day. I Love Animals, Any Kind..just Not Snakes. | | | | | Member Level up: 10%, 59 Points needed |

| A man that lives near us who is known for raccoon husbandry told us that the ones he feeds are so used to him that they actually bring their babies to show him, right up to the sliding glass door. Apparently that is quite unusual as they don't often show off their babies and try to hide them.
How neat that you got to see them. Hope they come back so you can get some pictures.
He also told us that they will fight over pet food but 'kill' each other for Iams. They also like cooked spaghetti. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 33%, 165 Points needed |
