| Good Morning!....Just a guess, but do you have raccoons in your area? My sister-in-law lives on Long Island in New York and is always plagued by raccoons. They seem to get under her fence (like yours) in the smallest of spots and ramshack her garbage every night. Even with bungee cords holding down the lids, they still get into the cans! Some of these little suckers are a fair size and they do climb so they may be the culprits. | | | | | Moderator Points: 30,992, Level: 77 | Level up: 78%, 658 Points needed |

| Hi..In the mystery update thread... I posted there that it is a raccoon.Thats a first for me. I have lived here for over 35 years and have never seen or heard of one till this year. IT seems to be awfully hungry. | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 29%, 57 Points needed |

| Do you think it could be from deer? There are actually websites that help to identify wild animal scat and deer could clear your fence very easily. | | | | | Moderator Points: 30,992, Level: 77 | Level up: 78%, 658 Points needed |

| I to have had that. I always thought it was raccoons. My dogs would always find it at there last poty before going to bed. Which meant they would get a late bath as they would roll in it and it smelled awful. I never thought it could be a bear and I know we have deer but not sure they can get in the yard. | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 10%, 66 Points needed |

| I may be a little late weighing in, but it sounds like a racoon to me. They go for dog and cat food. Take care. Good luck! | | | | |
