Raccoon Kits by the dozen.

Grace has been back for the past couple of days with her whole family and its not 2 Kits, she has 5.

But!!! the two other females brought their kits in today, in the early hours of the morning, and they have SIX each. Count that its 17, yes I said 17 Raccoon KITS plus their Moms.

And yes they are all single Mom's as the Daddy raccoons disappear when babies arrive.

My DH is having fits. How are we going to feed so many,he said I will have to look for a part time job to pay for the food. [img]images/smiley_icons/jiving.gif[/img] [img]images/smiley_icons/jiving.gif[/img] [img]images/smiley_icons/jiving.gif[/img]

Oh my stars, he is not kidding. Anyone want to buy some jewellery???? [img]images/smiley_icons/roflmbo.gif[/img]

I did not see the others as they arrived early morning when I was trying to get some rest after another bad night of sleep depravation.

I was up and about and outside with Grace and her kits and they were all around me. Had to move our broom which we brush the back deck with as kits were chewing on it.

They are little bundles of fur and I will try and get some pics tonight. Grace is as laid back as usual and trusts us so much.

The other two mom's are more on guard. We have not had this many little ones at the same time before this. [img]images/smiley_icons/choosing.gif[/img]

OH MY GOSH.. SEND ME SOME. I WOULD BE IN HEAVEN IF I HAD SOME BABY RACCOONS. ON THE OTHER HAND MY CHIPPY DISAPEARED. IT WAS THERE EVERYDAY COMING FOR PEANUTS AND NOW ITS GONE. THE OTHER LITTLE ONE COMES ROUND THOUGH. I HAVE 2 BUNNIES EVERYDAY EATING. THE SKUNKS HAVE BEEN AROUND BUT I HAVENT SEEN THEM. I would be so happy to send out the two Moms and Kits, but not Grace.

I hope your little chippy is OK. We only saw the one here twice.

I am going to try and have a nap,its so hot and humid here Phew! I will need to put the A/C on in the living room.

Update,Grace has six Kits and they are so cute and all over me when I go outside. The other mom's with kits are not as tame as Grace who lets her kits come on the deck and get close to us.

I have seen Maggie's six as well, but she is a bit rough with hers and won't let them eat her food like Grace does with hers.

I will try and get some pics tonight. They are all over the place and one tried to come into the house last night.

I gave him/her a marshmallow which it took from my hand no problem and gobbled it down so I gently got it off the deck and down where Grace was and the other kits.

I touched it on the back a couple of times to make it move and it didn't flinch. Just looked up at me. They are so cute. I do have a couple of the early ones when we thought she only had two kits, boy were we wrong. They are on my family site. Not great pics though.

Sorry Apple no new pics, I took some last night but they were blurry as the little bandits were moving so fast. Eating, playing, getting in the water and just being baby raccoons.

Have not seen the other two moms and kits for a couple of days so hope they have found another place to eat. Still got Raccoons coming in ones and two's,the older ones that is. [img]images/smiley_icons/jiving.gif[/img] [img]images/smiley_icons/jiving.gif[/img]

DH had to go down to the hospital for stress tests today, he would not let me come as he said he would worry about me sitting around too long. His son phoned to see if he wanted him to drive him. He said no thanks.

He is having chest pains when working in the garden and the doctor got him an appointment very quickly.

He will need help on July 25th when he goes for his colonoscopy again. Poor man I know what he is going through.

He phoned when he got to the hospital. He said he was fine.

Thank you Apple, he was fine but tired when he got home, now resting.

They have given him another appointment for July 3rd for the dye in the arteries test. Yes today medicine is amazing with what they can do.
