Cat Scratch Poles

[img]images/smiley_icons/thumb.gif[/img] Hubby and I use to make cat houses and scratch poles!!



Here is how you could do it!!



Supplies...



Jute rope

hot glue and gun

scissors



Cover end first by starting in the middle of the tube and working your way glueing as you go around and around, to the outside!! Before going down the sides with the rope, Have a piece of rope ready about 20 inches long, glue down both sides to make a handle to hang on a door knob. Now start glueing rope around and around till the desired length. Cover end same as top plug.



Note... when you glue aroung and around, you should make sure you are pushing the rope up against the last row so there are no gaps!!



To make the cat use this scratch pole, rub some catnip on it!! We sold a lot of this type of thing and people told us the cat loved it!! Every house and post we make we rubbed the cat nip on!! Just a little trade secret!!
